Why it is romantic: There are not many restaurants that can get me excited to write about the very next day and this is 1 restaurant. Kuriya is a Japanese fine dining restaurant. My first time to a Japanese fine dining place. Wonderful experience! I went during lunch time when it was not very crowded. When I first arrived at the restaurant, there was more than 1 friendly staff who greeted me and showed me the way for the welcome drink. How many restaurants have that? Then they will let you choose your main course and move you to the main dining area for your main course. I ordered a tempura set, which comes with an appetitiser, a plate of sashimi and also free flow of dessert. The appetitiser is cod fish, which is very fresh. When the sashimi is served, the service staff will tell you which sauce is for which item. The tempura was great! Most of the time, it is either too much flour or too much egg for the batter. But the texture for this is just right. Light and not overwhelming. The ingredients used were fresh. Throughout the whole time, the staff will walk by to see if you require anything. Like my bf was drinking a lot of the green tea, hence they came to top up. They do not come over to pour, but rather they replaced the cup, so that your tea is always hot. For me, the tempura was rather big, hence I was struggling a bit when I eat, the staff came with a saucer and cutlery (fork and knife). The manager and the service staff will come and make small talks to ensure that everything was fine. Service level - full marks! After the main course, they will asher you to the chillout area to have your dessert. They display a range of green tea, mango, chocolate, caramel, etc for your selection. Up to you to take how many you want. I have to say the dessert are good too! Oh! Did I forget to tell you about their drinks too? I was looking through the drinks menu, they have an interesting selection, which includes sake at about $600/ bottle and also $15 for a beer cocktail. Interesting huh! Beer cocktail! 1 of the mixture is beer and tomato juice. This place is impressive to bring a girl for a first date or for special occasions. But be prepared to pay. For me, I won a contest worth $200 of Kuriya dining voucher, which offsets the meal. :)
Romantic factor: 4/5 You can choose to sit by the window or chillout at the bar outside later on. Quiet enough for your sweet nothings whispering, but you will be mindful of some interruptions by service staff, who are trying to ensure that everything is fine for you. It is a rooftop garden location, so interesting view!

Rough cost: Less than $50 per person
Why it is romantic: There was much hype about the hotel when it first started so I was waiting for an occasion to check out this 6 star hotel. I went there in the afternoon. The place was nicely decorated in white. There are not many tables to start off with, and sufficient polite staff to make you feel welcomed. I sat by the glass window, overlooking water. Serenity. Quiet and cosy place. Food is nice too. The whole hotel is very classy, so it makes it seemed very expensive. If you are bringing someone on the first date, I think it will impress her. If I am not wrong, LaBrezza is the cheapest restaurant about the restaurants there. Of course, it depends on what you order too.

Rough cost: Less than $40 per person
Why it is romantic: If you go in the day, you will enjoy scenery like those in my pictures. Reminds me of those enjoying people enjoying a cup of coffee along those coffee joints, along the road, watching the world go by, especially in Western countries. The difference is that it is under tentage. During the night, you can enjoy the lights. I went during the day. During that time, not many customers, hence you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

Seafood International Market & Restaurant
I will start off with blogging about Seafood International – a place close to my heart because this is the venue for my wedding. I have chosen this place because 1. Edwin and I started our relationship at Playground @ Big Splash. 2. I am in love with the hut, the pond and the flowers. A very scenic place. The food is not bad too. They have this “market” word because there are a lot of fresh seafood, which you can pick and they will cook. Absolutely fresh!

Why it is romantic: Please go there in the day and sit near the window. Lovely view of the pond, fishes, flowers. You can take a walk at the back where there is a little hut. I am going to hold my solemnisation ceremony within the little hut. It is surprising to list a Chinese restaurant as romantic, but I find the place very scenic. After lunch, you can go for a stroll along East Coast Park.

Introduction
I am the F&B wiki, as what some of my friends termed me to be. Very often, people have been asking me where to bring their dates to a romantic dining place. If there is a demand, there is a supply. I will compile all the romantic dining places, of course, in my definition. I will state the name, address, telephone, website, rough estimate of the cost (it varies with what you order, I don’t order expensive food), why it is romantic and number of stars for romantic. I will also include a link to my facebook photo albums, if it is posted by me. Don’t worry if you don’t have a facebook account, you are still able to view it.
